    This year’s Annual Conference invited above 100 corporate executives of well-known corporations from home and abroad to discuss the recent issues concerning the instruments industry. Such issues as the acquisition and merger of instrument manufacturers, localization of foreign manufacturers received high attention from the participants. Several executives from well-known instruments corporations talked about these issues and conducted “brainstorming” in the conference, and they also reviewed the scientific instrument business in 2009 and made some expectation of the year 2010.

    Dr. Liu was invited to participate in the conference and he made a passionate speech about the developing prospects and direction of instruments industry in China. He also concluded: although the development of our national instrument industry was rather fast in the past few years, there was still a gap between the reality and the expected objectives. We should enhance independent R&D and develop new technologies and products constantly to meet the market demand, further promoting the instrument business in China, contributing to the world cleanness and environmental protection.
